Angels in our midst

Years ago, in May 0f 2001, I was involved in an accident on I70 in Indy.
I was on my way home from work, my mind was focused on my Dad's fight with cancer (which he lost in August of 2001) and what I needed to do at home some 60-75 minutes away.
I merged onto I70W and slipped into the center lane. Seconds later I was behind a construction truck and it lost a ladder behind it. I looked left for a spot.....I looked right for a spot. NO SPOT!!! So I sheered left as soon as I could, hit the retaining wall, bounced back right like a pin ball. Somewhere in all of that my airbag deployed. I was blinded and careening across 3 lanes of traffic. The car finally stopped on a guard rail where the other incoming traffic was to merge.
When the car finally stopped, I was really shaken. I was, then, in what I call my "crisis mode". I crawled out with only a few cuts from the flying glass and sore bones. The car was totalled.
Then SHE was there.
When I say she.....[I mean that a female, dressed all in purple, with red hair and of opulent features (like me), driving a Taurus pulled infront of my car.] She had a gold crucifix around her neck and she asked, "Are you ok?" I told her that I felt ok, but my hubby was out of town on a fishing trip, and I didn't know what to do. She hugged me, kissed me on my cheek, and offered me a kleenex, which I took. It smelled like Chantilly. She told me that I'd be ok, and that the police were on their way.

Just then a cop arrived to see what had happened. He asked if there were any witnesses, and I pointed toward where the lady's car was........and she was gone.
Mere seconds later, a fella that I work with (Jerry) pulled his truck into the area, hopped out, and asked if I was OK? I said, "Yeah, but I think I need to go to the hospital to check me out." I asked Jerry if he saw the Taurus with the round, red headed lady, and he said NO. The cop didn't see her either.
Jerry carried me to the closest hospital, and stayed with me through all of my x-rays and stuff. The cops found the ladder, but no on ever found the lady in purple. My hubby cancelled his fishing trip and came all the way up into Indy to get me.
I wasn't seriously hurt, shaken and a few cuts from the glass.........but otherwise of.
On our way home, Mister asked me what happened. I told him, and then we went to look at my car at the lot where "they" took it. He said, and I quote, "Holly shit, how did you get out of that with just the cuts you've got?" I just said that I thought that the lady in purple was my angel.
The point of this blog is this: Angels exist!!! They really do. And in this time of Christian holiday spirit, we must be aware of that.
It's true, it's real, and for that we all must be grateful.
I am. So are my 2 cats, and 1 dog that are harping on me to feed them. :-)
On that note..........
GOD bless, and MERRY CHRISTMAS! Chrissykins
