Dinner time

The TV man is in the basement with Mister cleaning the screen, lights, and mirror of our projection TV. We've had that darned TV since "98, and we've never had it properly cleaned. Well, today it is. Since Mister's been home all week so far, he's gotten onto a cleaning frenzie.
Granted, I had to put up with the "This is woman's work" comments when I got home from work, but I let it slide off of my back. He's keeping busy doing stuff that we've put off for too long, so it's a win/win situation as I see it. He even dusted today...ceiling fans too! This lay-off thingy may not turn out to be so awful after all!
Dinner was served after the TV guy left. I fixed green beans and taters (both from our garden), and fried pork loin. For dessert, Mister whipped us up banana millkshakes with sugar-free icecream!! All in all: yummy.
Well, I need to get my gear packed, tomorrow we're leaving for Mom's to celebrate the New Year.

I was a bit bummed today because it would have been my friend, Carol's 57th birthday. She died from cancer on February 16, 2005. I miss her terribly, butshe's not hurting any more.
A good banana shake can unbum almost anyone.
